Not voting is a no, and a no cancels a yes, so if there are 3 players, 3 yeses and 1 no == no change. If there are 5 players, 3 yeses, 1 no and 1 not voting == no change. It's kind of annoying. On the other hand, I use it to keep us out of the awful cycle of
for ( ; ; )
{
DM4
START
DM6
E1M7
}

Anyway can't it be a simple if a majority of the players vote yes, the action is taken? Its such a hassle to get shields and hook fixed when some joker turns them off.

I will reduce the weight of a 'no' vote so that it is half as much of a yes vote. So 2 no votes will be equal to 1 yes vote. Let's see if that works out. I'll upload it to the server later tonight.

Hi Slot,

Thanks for looking into this. It had worked for a while, but it seems like it's not again.

2 yes, 1 no, 1 none and we didn't get runes turned back on:

I also noticed a few days ago when lahey had everything turned off that an AFK player was counting against us. I thought they didn't.

Cheers,

It takes 51% of the players in-game to vote in order for a vote to get passed. So, even if nobody voted no and it was 2 yes, 2 none, the vote wouldn't pass. With my latest change, if the last person had voted yes, it would have passed where as it wouldn't have before.

I've lowered the percentage for the vote-default command. You can use this command at any time to restore the servers settings. If changes were made, the changes will be printed out for each option turned back on/off.
