The loss of max.essentrix.net has raised some interesting issues lately. First, the source is closed.

I've emailed the author and don't know if the email address works, but basically it is probably a totally dead mod due to this just like CRCTF+ (what Trinicom ran).

CA+ also would crash on any map not named DM3. I'm exaggerating slightly, because you could also play Q1EDGE. But I don't know of any other map it actually ran on without crashing. I crashed max once by voting E1M2 when the server was empty, and on HDZ it crashed in the middle of a game on UltraV. Basically the code somehow only can do DM3/Q1EDGE without crashing for who knows why.

Most players say the main improvement in Clan Arena+ is the EFF command and the ability to have 4 teams (the green team).

Anyway, I've long thought RQ Rocket Arena is hands down best RA and that 26002 is way better than any DM mod (players could play that at other servers, but they don't).

It would be cool if there were some day "vote-clanarena" which was basically Rocket Arena with all players present and team-damage off with vote-match to keep new players from entering.

... with some sort of caveat emptor for maps with insufficient deathmatch spawn points which might present a problem for rocket arena maps.

Just an idea for the suggestion box.

The server has had an IP change and I don't think the DNS is configured yet.
