A "Null rune" which either protects the holder from all other rune effects or completely nullifies rune effects until he is killed... ? eh? eh? :P

So, everyone's runes become useless against everyone?

"protects the holder from all other rune effects"

That would be something like Enviormental Rune in terms of traps and such.

As for making the runes null, that's a bad idea. Someone could grab it and go hide somewhere and it'd ruin the game. Might as well play on a pure DM server.

True...but from what I've seen hiding is difficult. How about the protecting the user from rune-effects? Or does the environ. rune protect against other runes already as well?

Check out Zop's Rune Quake Guide. It will list which runes and world effects that the Environmental Rune protects.
