I recorded this demo today of a cheat on shmack, got the status, etc, blah blah blah, need to send it to you so that you can get this guy off the server. It's pretty lame.

Lets just say that I was using Richmark and toggling (using RL only and no LG) for some time now. And it worked! For about a year or so and no one accused me of botting. BUT, since I helplessly sold my soul to quake (and was playing it too much)- I had to quit. What was the drastic measure taken? Botting with the LG so that it was so obvious I'd be banned and could conduct my normal social life without quake.

Bot.Manual =64 <-- Would always seem to work pretty well, but I got bored and thus my demise. Toggling with LG was fun and so obvious it was rather hilarious.

Bootnip, Rick James, John Stryker, and Player were all fun.

Thanks Slot for everything you've done for Q1. You have done so much for the quake community, I'm sorry to disgrace you with bottom feeders like myself.

Did it "work"? What did you get away with? Did you even win 1 game in 20 on average with the bot ... I played plenty of games with Rick James and never even recall seeing that name at the top of the list.

Maybe you got away with it because no one noticed you were on the server. :D :D

You were already banned twice before this past year. I doubt this third ban will stop you. You'll get a new IP and screw up again. You always do and you always get caught.

After John Stryker was banned back in 2005, he pleaded to be removed from the ban list. I offered the following opinion at the time:

"I'm in no way a fan of cheaters, but something makes me want to favor a probation period for him. I doubt you get many cheaters who email you for a second chance."

I also wrote that he probably wouldn't cheat again based on his seemingly genuine remorse after having missed Quake. Slot Zero decided to give him another chance. He was caught botting only 3 months later!

And he got caught once again, ostracizing himself from the game he claims to love.

Me: This is true. Sorry for that, toyo. Thank you Slot for being lenient as you always are. And thanks again Slot for setting up a new server with runes and full-on ctf (why not? You know it'd be as popular as shmack).

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. It's just another ploy to ask Slot to start a new CTF server with runes. I think it'd be fun as hell and I think it would attract a lot of people (yes, noob's but get over it people).
