DM and Rune would make it more interesting. Have 2 different tournys, 1 in DM and 1 in Rune. Of course Rune, there is more of advantage. (Hook, runes, etc.) And Dm is totally fair, you have to own the map and your opponent. (The best wins.) If someone wanted to set something like this up, then I would definitely be there. |

I may be over-stepping my say here, but I am sure that if we got our shit together that Slot or another admin would be more than happy to host the tourney on one of their servers. |

With all the Rune and Rune Plus servers out there, I am sure there is one that can be used as a tourny that everyone agrees the ping is good. |

And a tourny doesn't necessarily have to be made up of the best players. Although it won't have quite the same broad appeal, an open tournament will be much easier to organize than one that is invite only. -- toyo |

This is my statement to WeirdQ from earlier in the thread. "Your play is excellent, but your attitude is not. Few people have beaten you because you are known to leave immediately after you lose your rune after an extended run or when you don't do well. On more than one occasion, as I closed in on 50, you've left complaining of lag, that you weren't trying or that I was cheating." I got a chance to play WeirdQ again: First map: he beat me by, I think, 7 or 8 frags. Second map: after being down 32-15, he left and immediately came back. He used a different excuse this time -- apparently the map sucked. I accepted his challenge to 1 on 1, but he would not download the updated client necessary to play on a cheat free server. I'm not suggesting in anyway that he's using a cheat or altered pak file, but if he's going to challege people, especially while they're in the middle of a game, he needs to have his environment ready. The reason I posted this is because even AFTER the second map, he kept dogging me about my earlier post, saying in so many words that I was wrong. First of all, I can't believe he's still harping on a post I made months ago. And second, evidently he missed the irony in that just minutes before, he did exactly what I accused him of normally doing. What a character. toyo |

He's the biggest asshole I've ever seen in the game by a long shot. It's obvious that he's over compensating for something or just prides himself in being the biggest asshole in the game. Not surprised that he left when he started to fall behind in the frag count. Last few times I've seen him connect he made statements like; I hardly play and still own you, etc. but when he started to lose a round he would disconnect. |
