I've decided to retire coding and anything with RQA and now it's left to Ben to work on. I will no longer have ties to Widomaker, RQAdvanced.com or anything of that nature.

Come play on SINGED!

BTW, is there a way to merge that hooking bot with Rune Quake? It is by far the most advanced practice bot I've seen to date.

The bot you are talking about was created by Chuck over at http://www.nygma.net and the skill they have now will blow your mind!

Yes, I have Chucks bots for RQA running locally but my server is running Rune Quake. I also understand that IEEE helped Chuck recently to improve the way the bots use runes.

He did way more than that. He added the bots ability to use the hook, which I implemented in an unusual, but very effective way. He got it all organized for a change and spent many hours improving the way the bots use the runes.

I am going to add the Hook enabled bots to Rune Quake soon. I have just been preoccupied with personal matters lately.

I was banned for 2 months at wido, and during that time I played against the bots at my server a lot. It improved my game so much so that now that i'm unbanned at wido I get called a bot a lot more there than before.

I believe my game has improved from playing the Rune Quake bots as well. Of course there is a lot of room for improvement

I was going to post this at rqadvanced, but the topic was closed ... it was going to read ....

Apparently it was a big deal to IEEE, but not to you. If it really is trivial, why not let IEEE have his way on an issue you concede is not very important.

You guys are talking about "rules", but it very obvious that this whole thread doesn't have anything to do with rules. IEEE wanted his forum to be respected as "his". That's the real problem ... that IEEE's desire for his own little area to be respected.

And it wasn't.

More than likely your bot has been ruined just like Wido was.

I'm actually running Slot's mod with Chuck's Rune Quake bots.

runed or ruined?

How I look at it is... who ever created the Wido server from the begining ruined it when they passed it on. It should have shut down, and others should have been creative and renaimed their server to something else. Just because it ran a simular program doesn't make it "The Widomaker".

But then again, there were no copy rights. Although you figure that the next person could of been creative and named the server some other name instead of taking a name that was already used.

Now, I never knew the creator of the Widomaker server. All I know of is, its on a new system, under new bandwidth & IP, using a new program, run by a new person. It should of gotten a new name in my books.

Indeed :!: I came up with the perfect name for it... Ruin Quake.

The Widomaker server is housed at and provided bandwidth by widomaker communications. It still is the same server, the same ip. The only thing that's ever changed is the person(s) running it and the quake modificaton that it's running.
