Does it work?

I set cl_confirmquit to both 0 and 1 but I still have to press "y" to confirm that I want to quit (both when going thru menu and writing quit in console). Isn't this cvar all about removing the nag screen?

well, it doesn't work through the menu that's right (intended) but - for me - it works from the console.

Seems like you got a magic voice or something. Cause it works in console for me too now. And I've had cl_confirmquit in the autoexec all along =D

Well... typing quit on the console has as far as I remember always exited every quake engine without the nag screen. Isn't that right? It works in Joequake no matter what cl_confirmquit is set to.

So still, I can't figure out how to use cl_confirmquit. It seems it has no effect, at least for me.

And here's a small trick to quit quake immediately:

bind q "toggleconsole; quit"

q will now quit quake without any further notice.

doesnt "quit;quit" quit also without the nagscreen? bound to a key it should end immediately
