How about the latest QMB rocket trail? Haven't seen that one ported to any Joe/Fuhquake clients yet.

How long till you release Qrack 1.54 properly? cause this beta has great new stuff but i don't play with it cause it crashes my quake and has problems so i'm usin 1.53 till you release 1.54 (non beta)

Not certain. Seems that the two major features dont jive. Decals works, but crash the engine. and Celshading works but screwup skyboxes and other 2d textures :/ in time i suppose.

I got 2 problems with Qrack

1.Monster animations ain't 100% smooth when they move you can still see that they slightly stutter a bit, this is the same with the perforator when you fire it the animation is not smooth. I didn't have these problems with joequake, the smoothness is a bit off.

2.A message keeps popping up saying "Changing port to 26000" how can i get rid of this message?

I hope you sort these problems out :)

problem 1 set gl_interpolate_model_transform to 1, this will smooth out the monster's movements

problem 2 has been fix in next version..

oh and i fixed the decals today too...

I just payed a visit to the site and theirs a new version:

Qrack v1.53.2

Is this the new version with celshading and decals but fixed or have you removed those features?

actually yes and no.

a few bug fixes and a cleaned up menu of sorts... though decals work now
also pq_scoreboard_pings works now (it was a timing issue)
i fixed a few more things and have yet to get celshading in.

I personally like the style of celshading. But for celshading to REALLY be a kickAss feature, the models need more polygons. The quake player is puny.
using the algorythms i have found through tutorials on the net, i get both, blah results and ack! crash bugs, so.. its just a gimmick until it works.

if u really like celshading and Quake
try... http://qexpo.quakedev.com/booths.php?tag=drlabman

Ah, Sput, that explains it.

The QMB page is: http://www.flyingsaucepan.com/QMB/

But there is no download there. I wondered how anyone gets the QMB download.

QMB is downloadable at Edgefiles.com or at FileFront Note that you will need a copy of Quake 1 to run QMB.

To also download the source (as per GPL) you need to get it from the booth. :)
